Behrouz Jamali was born into a family of scientists and artists in Tabriz, Iran.  After moving to England with his family at the age of 5 he was already a multi lingual child with extra ordinary talking and communication skills. Upon his return to Iran parallel to his other studies he started Persian Classical music lessons in his hometown Tabriz with a number of renowned musicians such as Mohammad Akhavan (Tombak), Behrouz Afshari (Violin) and Western Classical music under Zaven Yedigarian (Violin) and many others.

While only a high school student he was granted an official permit as a Tombak instructor from Ministry of Culture and started teaching Tombak next to music legends like Ali Salimi the great master of Azerbaijani Tar and composer.  Being in such an environment in that age resulted in connecting with talented musicians and composers and some of them had major effects and influences in his music education already expanded from Western music to Persian music and Azeri music.
